Having gained an honours degree in Anthropology at Durham University, Daphne studied drama and dance at the London Studio Centre. In 1994 she incorporated Waring McKenna Ltd. and now has a diverse list of actors who work in all aspects of the business including film, television and theatre. Daphne is also a member of BAFTA.
JOHN SUMMERFIELD
DIRECTOR
After gaining a degree in Media Studies, John trained at LAMDA and subsequently worked for several years as an actor before progressing into management. He joined the agency in 1999 and is now a senior agent working with a client list of stage and screen actors.
Richard Carey
DIRECTOR
Richard graduated from the University of Birmingham in English Literature and Drama. After working in production and casting, he joined Waring McKenna in 2017. Richard is now an Agent and Daphne's Associate. In 2022, he became a Director alongside Daphne and John.
LIZ EKBERG
EMERGING TALENT AGENT
Having spent several years directing Barry Norman's film review programme at the BBC, Liz then moved to Sky where she produced the Oscars. She now focuses on developing a list of actors aged 15-20 years.
Mia Wilson
JUNIOR AGENT
Mia studied American Studies at the University of Sussex and in New York. After graduating in 2018, she went straight into the agenting industry and joined Waring McKenna in 2020.
CALLUM POPE
JUNIOR AGENT
Callum graduated from the University of Edinburgh with an MA in Geography. After working in theatrical production, he joined Waring McKenna at the start of 2021.
KATIE STRICKLAND
GENERAL ASSISTANT
Katie graduated from Oxford Brooks University with a degree in Anthropology and Osteology. After previously working in Casting, she joined Waring McKenna in 2023.
