Having gained an honours degree in Anthropology at Durham University, Daphne studied drama and dance at the London Studio Centre. In 1994 she incorporated Waring McKenna Ltd. and now has a diverse list of actors who work in all aspects of the business including film, television and theatre. Daphne is also a member of BAFTA.
JOHN SUMMERFIELD
DIRECTOR
After gaining a degree in Media Studies, John trained at LAMDA and subsequently worked for several years as an actor before progressing into management. He joined the agency in 1999 and is now a senior agent working with a client list of stage and screen actors.
Richard Carey
DIRECTOR
Richard graduated from the University of Birmingham in English Literature and Drama. After working in production and casting, he joined Waring McKenna in 2017. Richard is now an Agent and, in 2022, became a Director alongside Daphne and John.
CALLUM POPE
AGENT
Callum graduated from the University of Edinburgh with an MA in Geography, his summers spent running various Festival Fringe venues. After working in West End theatrical production, he joined Waring McKenna at the start of 2021. His client list spans screen and stage actors.
HATTIE KNIGHT
SENIOR ASSISTANT
After graduating from the University of Sheffield, Hattie trained at Drama Studio London. She worked as an actor for several years before joining the agenting world in 2022. She joined Waring McKenna in 2024.
KATIE STRICKLAND
ASSISTANT
Katie graduated from Oxford Brooks University with a degree in Anthropology and Osteology. After previously working in Casting, she joined Waring McKenna in 2023.
MEGAN CHAMPNEY STEELE
ASSISTANT
Megan graduated from the University of St Andrews in 2023 with an MA in Art History. Having done a master's in Persian Art at The Courtauld, she then joined Waring McKenna as Daphne's assistant in 2025.
