Filming is underway for the Disney+ adaptation of Jilly Cooper’s ‘Rivals’.
Gabriel Tierney will be playing the role of Patrick O’Hara.
‘Rivals’ is part of Cooper’s bestselling “Rutshire Chronicles”, set in affluent 1980s England where two powerful men and neighbours – Olympian turned politician Rupert Campbell-Black and television executive Tony Baddingham – have a longstanding rivalry that finally comes to a head.
Jilly Cooper, who is acting as executive producer on the series, made a statement in March revealing her excitement for the project; “I’m utterly enchanted to be able to announce our all-star line-up for Rivals. Featuring some of the best acting talent that the British Isles has to offer, I couldn’t have dreamed of a better ensemble cast. I cannot wait to be on set and see them bring the characters I love so much to life!”
The eight-episode series will be produced by Happy Prince, including Domanic Treadwell-Collins, Alexander Lamb, Felicity Blunt and Laura Wade as Executive Producers.
